MCW360 is going to change direction a bit… well really you could say MCW360 is going to get direction, by defining itself really as a blog about the motorcycle industry as a whole. We’re going to cover a variety of things that pertain to the average motorcycle rider, and to spice it up a bit, we’re going to throw in some insight into the industry itself. For dressing, realize that my viewpoint of the industry itself isn’t really at the center of things. Motostrano is not an OEM dealer, we’re not a service shop- we’re an aftermarket parts shop, so really as far as the industry goes, we’re on the fringe. Nevertheless, that perimeter station of ours gives us a certain insight to things that we wouldn’t have if we were at the center of things. Besides- our view of the OEM bike dealership is that really they tend to be the slaves of the manufacturers, for the most part, which is why you rarely if ever see much great about them. How many bike dealerships can you think of that have a national brand? I can think of 4 or 5. How many parts resources do you buy from outside your own town, ie. via mail order ? Probably very fiew. More and more dealerships are catching on, just like other offline industries, but they still lag behind the major online mail order companies.
I know that motorcyclists are a breed that likes to devour information. Hopefully, what I can share here will be helpful in some way.
